Liz Rose - songwriter is never mentioned

Why is Liz Rose, the songwriter who's crafted the biggest hits for Taylor Swift never mentioned? Kanye West shouldn't have discriminated her just because she's young, white, and sings country. It's been said that this was nothing more then a publicity stunt since both Kayne and Taylor share the same agent. Also shortly after this it does appear as if Taylor has alot going on and well putting 2 and 2 together this does have publicity stunt written all over it. These commercial events would never ever permit anything to happen that was unscripted, too much is on the line. Everything that has happened at these award shows are always planned ahead of time.

I don't want to get into an edit war over this. The sentence and the song are about a person, Drew Hardwick. Neither are not about the name Drew Hardwick. To say that he has a particular name is simply to identify that particular person. It makes no sense to say that it is about the name. You can have a song about a name, e.g. "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash (though even this could arguably be said to be about the person and not the name), but this is not an example of that. I agree the song is about the person, but the sentence as currently structured is about the fact that the person in question has a particular name, namely, "Drew Hardwick." To write "The song is about a person named Drew Hardwick" would be incorrect, because it states that Drew Hardwick is his own name; obviously that's wrong, because Drew Hardwick is a person, not a name. We could say "The song is about Drew Hardwick," but I kind of feel phrasing it that way implies that we expect people to know who Drew Hardwick is. I am completely confused by the quotation marks as they stand. If I see a proper name in quotes like this, my assumption would be that the song is about a literal real-life person Taylor Swift knew and the name in quotations was a pseudonym she used to protect his identity. If the song is actually about a guy by the name of Drew Hardwick, then it doesn't need quotation marks. However, I agree with VoluntarySlave that I don't see the point in actually NAMING the person especially since there's no notability to him that I can see. It's not like, say, "He Stopped Loving Her Today" which George Jones wrote it about Tammy Wynette, who has notability in being a famous country musician in her own right as well as the notability of being Jones' ex-wife. Opinionated user

Does anyone have any idea who the user is that keeps adding vandalism to Taylor Swift's article. When I saw this article, this genius user wrotr profanity at the bottom of her page. They also wrote on the discography section; "to view an exhaustive list of her discography", which was so opinionated. This is an encyclopedia, if you can't follow the rules, don't write for us! Factual Error

In the article it says that LeAnn Rimes is Taylor Swift's Grandmother. This is impossible due to multiple things: Firstly, LeAnn Rimes is 25 years old and secondly she has no kids, let alone grand kids. The article is semi-protected, so I can't edit it, someone else should fix that.

P.S. The source cited for this error has no evidence to support the claim. All the source says is: "It seems fitting that Taylor's first idol in country music was LeAnn Rimes. "I knew every song she ever sang," she says. LeAnn at the time was 14 years old, just starting her career." (Source 2 on Taylor Swift Wiki)

In the artist information box, piano is listed as one of her instruments. I have never seen Swift playing piano while performing. If anyone has a picture or video clip please post it here; or we have to delete piano out of her instruments.

I'm not sure that this is a "charitable" work. I'm not saying it is an unworthy activity, but I can't find any indication that celebrities are not paid for their endorsements. I agree that endorsing a commercial product does not qualify as philanthropy. The "Body by Milk" campaign was Initiated by MilkPEP. MilkPEP's own words: "The Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP), Washington, D.C., is funded by the nation's milk processors, who are committed to increasing fluid milk consumption. MilkPEP activities are led by a 15-member board, which is monitored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service." Every television appearance does not go into a filmography. Some bio pages don't include any TV appearances, only film. But if they are included, they need to be more than just an appearance or performance. Then her IMDB page is wrong. While the MTV site suggests Beyonce wasn't nominated, many sources suggest she was. At first I wondered if they were mistaken but in fact if you look at the comments here [2] it appears it's definite she was nominated and this is clear if you watch the award show. I presume the MTV site is mistaken or perhaps it was removed for some reason relating to this controversy. I went ahead and moved a big section of philanthropy to personal life. Business agreements and corporate endorsements are not philanthropy. In fact, they don't belong under personal life either. • I am not real fond of the idea about an endorsements section. I agree with Jhonkaman, most endorsement stuff isn't really encyclopedic. There could be exceptions (some record amount or groundbreaking area) but, in general, most celeb endorsements are just mundane. Now if you're talking something on the level of Michael Jordan and Nike (where it's money and a clothing/shoe line that becomes notable on its own), that might be different. 2009 Video Music Awards controversy section

I'm thinking we need to incorporate it back into her Music career section; it just seems out of place down there near the bottom of the article. Yes, Miley Cyrus and other celebrities have controversies sections here at Wikipedia, but that is often because they have more than one controversy and the substantial information is out of place in their Music career sections. And of course all these controversy sections better left distinguished by titles...unless all are short under the simple title of Controversies like the Kanye West article.

To be honest, I am confused about where this information is best placed within the article. Perhaps, we should simply leave it near the bottom of the article but shorten its title to Controversy. Then again, we know that even now, a lot of people who come across this article are looking for information about this topic...which means that the title may be better left distinguished (even though they would eventually fine what they are looking for soon enough). Is going into details about Swift's best friend really encyclopedic/worth inclusion in the article? Usually, such a relationship is only mentioned if the friend is at least somewhat notable in their own right, and presently the article doesn't demonstrate any such importance; if there is something though, it should probably be added (without getting too promotional). Is this person a singer, an actor, etc.? Grammy nominees have been selected and why does it not surprise us that Taylor Swift is included as one of the nominee? I am proud to say that Taylor Swift is accounted as one of the Grammy nominee. She is one of the nominee along with the other album's such as Beyonce "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" Black Eyed Peas "The E.N.D."Lady Gaga "The Fame" Dave Matthews Band "Big Whiskey..." and of course Taylor Swift "Fearless". So far on a yahoo poll on which album is most likely to win the album of the year, Taylor Swift's album is on the highest chart with her album reaching up to 36% out of all of them. Beyonce's album reached up to 24%, The black eyed peas reached up to 13%, Lady Gaga's album reached up to 26% and Dave Matthews band reached up to 4%. Obviously Taylor's is the highest. On her Wiki page, it says that Taylor won a national poetry award for a three-page poem. That is a factual error. The truth, according to the interview cited, was that she would write lengthy poems that could go as long as three pages.
