Tasmanian Devils (senior team) → Tasmanian Devils (2001–2008) – Regardless of the outcome of the current move discussion at Talk:Tasmania Football Club, the "senior team" disambiguation is now unsuitable with a new similarly-nicknamed senior team coming soon. Years are often used to distinguish a former franchise of the same name as a current franchise in a same sport or league (e.g. Cincinnati Reds (1876–1879), Portland Timbers (2001–2010), Denver Outlaws (2006–2020)). In my opinion, this is likely the best way to distinguish the old VFL team from the new VFL team. — AFC Vixen 🦊 01:11, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
