Fundamentally, they are the same. The distinction between tampering and spoliation seems to be whether it is a criminal investigation, or a civil suit. Both articles seems to be written from a U.S. perspective, and probably the distinction is only relevant there. Nevertheless, the concepts are so closely related, that they should be described in the same article. ― Hebsen (talk) 16:46, 6 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
