Talk Dirty (song)Talk Dirty – The page "Talk Dirty" redirects to another album, and that songs is unnotable. Billboard Man (talk) 20:18, 10 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Support, and add a {{for}} note. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 20:22, 10 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment a redirect should exist at Talk Dirty (Jason Derulo song); and if the title is actually "Talk Dirty" with quotes, then "Talk Dirty" should also redirect here. -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 08:08, 11 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. Talk Dirty should redirect to Dirty talk, a far more significant and a subject less exposed to WP:RECENT than any song. There is no guideline in WP that says disambiguation should be removed if practical or otherwise - it is a song and to have (song) after the title is not a hindrance by any stretch of the imagination. I note User 76 above has suggested, a redirect at Talk Dirty (Jason Derulo song) then perhaps it would be quicker, simpler, and more efficient to move direct to that article namespace.
I also take time to quote WP:PTOPIC here,
There is no single criterion for defining a primary topic. However, there are two major aspects that are commonly discussed in connection with primary topics:
A topic is primary for a term, with respect to usage, if it is highly likely—much more likely than any other topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term.
A topic is primary for a term, with respect to long-term significance, if it has substantially greater enduring notability and educational value than any other topic associated with that term.
I trust you have all noted the words "long-term significance" - there are very few songs with long-term significance, half-a-dozen a decade, maybe. This ain't one of them.

Keeping that in mind, the words "dirty" and "talk" are common words in common usage, the chance of there being no other titles in the future using these words are so slim as to make moving a complete waste of time for the nominator and all those that have commented here - including me. Let's find something on WP that's worth working on, rather than these unnecessary moves...which, probably, in due course, will have to reverted. Cheers. --Richhoncho (talk) 13:40, 11 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Support per original request. I also redirected "Talk Dirty" to here. 68.44.51.49 (talk) 15:14, 11 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • A redirect at "Talk Dirty (Jason Derulo song)" might, I suppose, help if there were inbound links from other articles; but it's an extraordinarily unlikely search term. bobrayner (talk) 19:43, 17 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
If it is an "unlikely search term" why was the redirect created? Are you saying Song (Foo song) doesn't work for the 1000s of song articles it applies to? Sure? --Richhoncho (talk) 10:44, 18 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • No offense, but no one really cares about the John Entwistle since it was not a single. There's no other page named "Talk Dirty", so I had every right to request this. Billboard Man (talk) 16:05, 18 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
No offense, but I am not concerned with the Entwistle song and did not mention it. What I am concerned about are all these unnecessary moves - especially as nobody cares to go to the incoming links so they are direct. So in effect, there is no move. For an example, a move I approve of that you recently made, It's My Party (song) renamed to It's My Party (Lesley Gore song) becomes a waste of time and effort because every link through from Gore related articles still go through the It's My Party. Unless the job is going to be done properly there is no point moving articles. At the moment you have just kicked over all the traces because of the Jessie J song. My further objection to this move, as I have already said, sooner or later another song will come up called "Talk Dirty" which will, according to some, be WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, so any moving here will have to be undone. Pointless. Finally I notice that your concern is specifically 2013 singles, so WP:RECENT applies with hobnail boots. I repeat, this is a pointless and useless nomination irrespective of Entwistle. As for those that are making wholesale moves on the grounds of guidelines the advice is straight - if you think these moves are important ensure that the links are moved too, at least you will get some respect. Cheers.--Richhoncho (talk) 17:10, 18 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Talk DirtyTalk Dirty (Jason Derulo song) – As good as moving here is, I did find an article for the John Entwistle song. If it is not redirected to the album, I suggest we move this page. 68.44.51.49 (talk) 16:39, 12 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
