Homage to highlander?

The scene where homer and the biker battle with choppers seems to resemble the battle in highlander between Ramirez and the Kurgan.

Greaser's Commercial

Did anyone else get the idea that Wolfguy Jack asking "Do you remember Coca-Cola, television, and Dick Clark?" was meant to be more ironic than nostalgic, in that none of these things dissapeared betweem 1955 and 2001. Can this be added? Tutsuro (talk) 04:34, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

I think that you're right, that's the joke, remembering the 50's isn't difficult since all these things still exist. That alone isn't worth a mention in the article though.--JordanWB (talk) 04:00, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Hunter S. Thompson

After reviewing the episode, I can't see Hunter anywhere in the Simpson's home. I noticed one person, sitting against a wall as mentioned, who looks vaguely like Hunter, but he's clearly simply drunk and not writing. I see no indication that this person or any other is Hunter.
