Perry Mason TV Series Character Name edit

A character in a third season Perry Mason (TV series) entry, The Case Of Paul Drake's Dilemma is named Tad Dameron (one "d" in first name), which may or may not be a reference or tribute of some kind to the then still living musician and composer. It was aired just this past night and I found it odd. The name strikes me as too unique for it to be a coincidence, as the real life Mr. Dameron was well known in music circles at the time.

If anyone has information about this I can't think of a better place to post it than here.
