United States — maps are wrong edit

The United States does NOT use the "majority bonus system" for the House of Representatives or the Senate. Both bodies are elected First Past The Post. Party primaries may use a variety of systems, but the OFFICIAL election (not the primaries) are all FPP. David Cannon (talk) 04:07, 12 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

There are not just party primaries but jungle primaries as well. There are also elections with the two round system, which means the runoff is after the first round general election and the general election (jungle primary is before the only round of the general election, but essentially the same)
Therefore not all "official" elections are FPTP, some are two round, some are IRV
The maps show "varies by state" (shade of grey) not "majority bonus" (which is a shade of blue/purple)
for head of state (POTUS) the table shows this greenish blue which is indirect election by electoral college, which is also true, no matter which state uses which system(s) to elect their winner(s) Rankedchoicevoter (talk) 05:21, 12 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
