What is TIROS? edit

Dont you wonder weather Tiros was a geostationary satellite or a polar orbiting satellite?! My opinion is that TIROS was a geostationary satellite because if not dont you think it would mention that it had been near the northern area of the world. or is it that the Tiros was its own Satellite and if it was what was it really used for arnt two satellites enough. --67.70.38.147 16:39, 22 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Why? edit

Dont you wonder why Didnt they keep TORIS-1 and Vandeguard. those two satilittes were our first. they should have at least put it on display somewhere. Not only this but why did they make Noaa and nasa they were the last to launch since the Nimbus program. i mean come on how long ago was that. also was tiros just a little starter because it just gave the nimbus program the whole thing then stepped aside, for the noaa and the nasa to take its place and launch. if that was supposed to happen in the beggining why didnt they do that before or why didnt they make another one exactly like tiros yet different and such.i mean they were going to just push it aside later on. and if they did push it aside for a reason like it had technical dificulty problems then fix it! so i ask why why did they? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.70.38.147 (talk) 17:11, 22 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

"With the wide angle lens, the camera provided a clear view of earth from space 750 miles away."
