Merge to Symbiogenesis

This merger was proposed back in June, without either the creation of this discussion or any attempt at closure.

Weeks have now passed and nobody else has attempted to comment.

However, the case is rather clear: I agree with nom that this is a plain WP:CFORK of a longstanding and well-cited article which covers the topic properly. This new article covers similar ground with some of the same images and many fewer citations. A redirect is the only reasonable solution here; there may be some material to merge but that won't affect the outcome. I'll therefore create the redirect now.
