Talk:Swing Down Sweet Chariot

Swing Down Sweet Chariot is obviously based on Swing Low, Sweet Chariot. Considering the lyrics it is a humorous variation, if not a parody of the original. The question remains, what it actually is. I fear that it cannot be considered as a traditional spiritual, as by it's lyrics it is not really spiritual (Ezekiel is literally looking for a ride ...), it just imitates one.
