Edit request to "CEO of YouTube" section on July 27 2018 edit
Suggested edits in ** **
1. Can we add this as the 3rd sentence in this section? **In 2017, she was also ranked number six in the world’s 100 most powerful women in Forbes.** https://www.forbes.com/power-women/list/
2. Users are watching **over** one billion hours a day **and also generating billions of views.**
3. Since taking on the role of CEO, YouTube’s percentage of female employees has risen from 24 to **32** percent.
4. YOUTUBE RED IS NOW YOUTUBE PREMIUM: Suggested sentence where YouTube Red is mentioned: **She also oversaw the launch of YouTube’s advertisement-free subscription service, YouTube Premium, which includes YouTube Originals and the new YouTube Music. Its over-the-top (OTT) internet television service, YouTube TV, launched in early 2017.**

5. In the second sentence of the last paragraph, can we add this? (Right before "The more stringent policies...")
- Wojcicki's efforts include using machine learning to speed up video review, growing the team focused on content issues, introducing new ways to tackle misinformation on the platform and working to provide more transparency to creators and the community-at-large about these policies.**

Remove exaggeration/puffery warning labels? edit
I've made extensive edits to sanitize. Any objection to me removing the warning labels? It may strike some as an advertisement because her accomplishments are pretty remarkable. Open to further suggestions too, thanks. Schmiebel (talk) 22:38, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. PlanetJuice (talk • contribs) 15:25, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
Can the page be unlocked? edit
I think the squabble between the two editors is finished.
I feel there is a lot of positive endorsement going on on this page, it reads far from neutral, so I want to rewrite some bits to make it more factual and less shoulder patting. Chrisvdhogen (talk) 09:18, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
For example: "Wojcicki has emphasized educational content as a priority for the company, and on July 20, 2018, announced the initiative YouTube Learning, which invests in grants and promotion to support education focused creator content."
Changed to: Wojcicki has been involved in the YouTube Learning initiative, which invests in grants and promotion to support education focused creator content."
And more like this Chrisvdhogen (talk) 09:22, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
Etnicity in intro edit
Can the Americans on Wikipedia stop pretending that having a Polish father means you are Polish American if you are born in the US? No one cares if your grandfather was Irish or Italian or if your dad was Polish, that does not make you Polish American. 85.149.2.19 (talk) 19:26, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- MOS:CONTEXTBIO is fairly clear on what goes in the intro section of the lead and ethnicity is explicitly excluded from that unless there is a significant tie to why notable. Whether or not she has Polish citizenship is not really relevant as she has done no notable actives in Poland and everything notable was done as an American in the US. As for Polish citizenship, she might be entitled to it per jus sanguinis, but there is nothing in the article that supports that or if she claimed it. Geraldo Perez (talk) 16:29, 25 April 2023 (UTC)

The part in "Personal Life" currently says "Suspected Drug overdose" but the only source is his grandmother, Esther Wojcicki. All other sources say:
- The university did not answer questions about whether Troper died from a drug overdose, saying his death is under investigation.
- While police sources told People the cause of death is unknown, Troper's grandmother...
Additionally, the toxicology report is still outstanding:
- Wojcicki told the outlet that a toxicology report will take up to 30 days to receive results.
However, there's nothing new about the cause of death as of writing this.
That's why I believe it should be changed to something like "On February 13, 2024, Wojcicki's son Marco passed away while a student at the University of California, Berkeley. His grandmother has stated that he ingested a drug, though its specifics and the exact cause of death remain unclear." Akutasan (talk) 09:56, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

- Partially reverted. @Charliehdb: Per MOS:EUPHEMISM, saying "passed away" is not acceptable. Please take note of this in the future. Edit requests must conform to relevant guidelines. InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:05, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
