No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 20:31, 25 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Susan Powell (entertainer)Susan Powell – Page used to be here until it was moved without discussion on talk page, ostensibly "to create disamb page." Disambiguation page moved to Susan Powell (disambiguation), all subsequent notable Susan Powell's can be linked off of this page. Ejgreen77 (talk) 02:57, 19 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Comment: Renaming the disambiguation page was premature. It will happen when and if the proposed move goes through, but until then the dab page is back at Susan Powell. Favonian (talk) 15:10, 19 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose. Can't see that the entertainer has any particular claim to be the primary meaning of the name. It should be noted that there is no obligation to discuss a move on the talkpage before it is carried out unless it is likely to be controversial; in this case it was perfectly acceptable to move it without discussion. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:35, 20 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. I have a sense that this subject is the most significant encyclopedic topic inside of such a search. She's the only one for whom a strong case can be made that her accomplishments have rendered her notable. That said, I see no reason why this subject clearly meets WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, mostly because of the inherent recentism in search engine results. In my humble opinion: The weather forecaster isn't a truly encyclopedic subject, she's just another news reader. The unfortunate missing woman isn't a suitable subject for biography per NOTNEWSPAPER and RECENTISM. I don't feel so strongly about either subject to take them to AfD; the way the current wind is blowing, I'd not prevail. Add the other subjects listed on the DA page, and it's clear that a hatnote is insufficient. Therefore, a disambiguation page is the correct navigational tool. Even if we made the move suggested, we'd be right back at this same discussion the next time a notable subject with the same (rather common) name arises. Better to do it now. Move discussion in progress edit

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Larry Miller (entertainer) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 03:01, 27 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Susan Powell (entertainer)Susan Powell (Miss America) – (unbundled as requested) Fails WP:CRITERIA, same problem as at 20 plus previous RMs, all but 2 no longer at (entertainer), printed sources don't describe the subject as "entertainer" meaning readers are unlikely to search for "entertainer": "Miss America" "Susan Powell" = 265 Google Books results vs "entertainer" "Susan Powell" = zero. • Support; "(entertainer)" is always a bad way to title an article, and all articles titled that way should be moved to another title. I suppose there will never be a consensus for moving certain present articles, but they are still wrong. 168.12.253.66 (talk) 13:40, 5 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. Yes, Powell was Miss America. But that was thirty years ago. Since then, she's been an opera singer, a tv host, and more. "Entertainer" seems to fit better. Dohn joe (talk) 01:27, 7 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
Correction, she hasn't notably been an opera singer, and her TV host functions relate to and mention previously being Miss America. But anyway the RM isn't to or from (TV host), but between (entertainer) and (Miss America); how does your comment relate to WP:AT guidelines for titling? Particularly 2. Naturalness.. Such titles usually convey what the subject is actually called in English.? What is your evidence that Susan Powell is actually called "entertainer' in English? In ictu oculi
