Reworded the following:

to remove apparent political bias in the statement. Replaced with:

"Portions of the ski resort are being constructed on unceded/disputed Secwepemc First Nation ("Shuswap") land. The lands in question are part of ongoing land claims settlement negotiations between the Canadian First Nations in British Columbia and the governments of British Columbia and Canada."

POV removal of land claims mention

The latter paragraph above has been re-instated, apparently after being removed by p.r. people associated with the resort, so I have re-instated it as notable. Earlier versions of this article covered the background to the dispute in too much detail and a huge chunk was removed by User:Shell Kinney for "apparent lack of references". Actually much that was there was cited and links had been interspersed without being properly line-cited - in this edit a number of them are still in the text, though their topic matter ranges far from the land claims protest connected with the resort so I have not even contemplated restoring them. And while the re-instated paragraph (slightly modified) is currently uncited, it's a truism and easy to cite; another sentence could comment on the blockade of the site and associated events. And to resort/p.r. staff reading this, you do not "own" this article so please do not delete material again that has validity; integrate and edit, not delete, is a wikipedia maxim. Likewise please do not build another linkfarm of resort accommodations and businesses; WP:Wikipedia is not a directory.Skookum1 (talk) 15:41, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Neskonlith Douglas Reserve

I wonder that nothing is written about that the resort is located in the Neskonlith Douglas Reserve and that there were several disputs with the native americans about the development of the area. I just read an related article from 2008 (http://www.datum.at/artikel/der-ski-des-manitu - in German) - anybody of you who knows more about that and could add it to the article? --Cafe1819 (talk) 11:17, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
