Astonished am I edit

Untitled edit

This article has been written carelessly and the last sentence, 'This book is bad,' is certainly not equal and impartial. I shall try to make time to edit it, but it seems to be ill written, and I hope someone will edit it better. Besides which, the plot is wrong: Jimbo does not ultimately thwart his plans, as a storm at the end of the book enables Jay Berry to catch them. And importantly, his sacrifice for his sister Daisy, and her happy recovery, and the prayer inside the fairy ring, is not mentioned. Classical Esther (talk) 07:15, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Summerofthemonkeys.jpg edit

Image:Summerofthemonkeys.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

  • The only problem I have with the image is that it clearly shows a CHIMPANZEE, not a monkey. And this is a children's book! No wonder half the country rejects the theory of Evolution! We don't even know the difference between a chimp and a monkey! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.5.211.66 (talk) 16:33, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Copyediting done edit

I agree about the monkey image - that's too bad. It could be written into the article if someone chose to. Don't know what a Paint-Pony is either (painted pony maybe?) But those aren't CE issues.--Levalley (talk) 02:07, 22 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

1998 film edit

There is a 1998 Disney movie adaptation of this book. 173.51.254.63 (talk) 03:45, 29 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
