Contested deletion edit

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (im not even Niyskho, my account was created a month before him, how is it even possible?) --WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 23:59, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Товболатов my account was created a month before Niyskho how is it even possible? I just wanted to make page about Sulumbek what's the problem? Bbb23, Товболатов is clearly just falsely accusing me. WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 00:01, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Товболатов explain how can I be Niyskho? Wallahi I'm not Niyskho and my account was created a month before him. Stop falsely accusing me of things. This is not permissible in Islam. WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 00:04, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
You also said exactly the same on Russian Wikipedia, but it turned out that you are a doll everywhere.--Товболатов (talk) 00:07, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Where did I say same in Russian Wikipedia? How is it possible for me to be Niyskho when my account was created a month before his? This is enough to know that you're clearly making false accusations. I just wanted to make page about Sulumbek because he's hero of the Ingush people, if I want to make page about Sulumbek does that mean that I'm Niyskho? Hello Bbb23 take a look how Товболатов is making false accusations please. WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 00:20, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Товболатов if you believe in Islam then know that false accusing and lying is not permissible. How can I be Niyskho if my account was created a month before him? I didn't know about him before you started accusing me of being Niyskho. If I want to make page about Ingush hero Sulumbek, that doesn't make me Niyskho. Help edit

Goddard2000 assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. I don't really know how to explain it but do you know how can I connect this page with the russian page? There already exists page Сулумбек Сагопшинский, I just want to connect this one to it. WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 12:52, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

WikiEditor1234567123 Waaleykum Salam warahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, i can't help you unfortunately, i don't know how to connect it. Goddard2000 (talk) 15:10, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Do you know where I could learn how to do it? Like the instructions. WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 16:38, 7 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Advice needed edit

Hello Olympian. I checked your profile and saw that you had made 2 good articles so I was thinking if you could give me some advice as I want to make this article good too. Tell me what I should add, remove or replace. WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 07:41, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I don't have extensive experience with biographical articles but I'll certainly look it over and give my suggestions to help it qualify for Good Article status. Best, – Olympian loquere 13:21, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
My initial recommendations unrelated to the content would be to romanise the references' authors and publishers, remove YouTube references and any other unreliable sources, and convert the references to the SFN format. Olympian loquere 13:36, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Are all Youtube references considered unreliable no matter what? For example I used Leyla Gagieva's documentary film, it's the only YouTube reference in the article, however in the film there's documents and sources shown so would it still make it unreliable? WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 16:25, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'd recommend reading the section on YouTube in Wikipedia's article on external links – you may also find this RSN thread helpful. Generally, YouTube is considered unreliable to cite on Wikipedia. – Olympian loquere 03:55, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Do you have any idea where I can then find sources to replace the unreliable ones? WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 15:31, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Try Google Scholar. From searching "Сулумбек Сагопшинский", there are 18 results. Generally EnWiki prefers English-language sources, though if none are available, Russian is completely fine as long as the journal/author is reliable. If you have doubts about a source's reliability, you can check the Reliable Source Noticeboard to see if there are any threads about it. – Olympian loquere 03:01, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks @Geardona for starting the review! Regarding 6, I added 2 images, one of which is the only existing image of Sulumbek so most likely there won't be another image. Regarding 3, unfortunately the article is short but that's mostly due to me trying to use as much as reliable sources as possible which are obviously not many and they gave that much information. I mean, I could use few articles from reliable newspaper but I'm not sure if they're considered reliable in this topic (which is historical), what do you think? Btw, there's short articles like Varsken which also became GA nevertheless, so I don't think that this article can't be one. Anyways, I could still try to find more RS and add more information to the article. Best regards, WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 19:54, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi!
Articles from newspapers could be used as reliable sources, at least with some corroboration between them.
In terms of length, try adding some precise descriptions of the robberies he committed.
Cheers!

Hello! I added some new information from one of the most reliable Ingush newspaper Serdalo. What do you think? WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 22:52, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Nice work! Geardona (talk) 22:54, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Is there any more issues with the article? I most likely won't find any more images because there exists only 1 real image taken of him. WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 23:09, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
It is almost there, any images would help, even if they are pictures of a memorial or court record. Geardona (talk) 23:18, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I added an excerpt from Russian newspaper Russkoe slovo which reported on Sulumbek's arrest. Are 3 images now enough? WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 00:05, 25 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yep, most likley Geardona (talk) 00:07, 25 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Is there any more issues remaining? What's the next step? WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 00:41, 25 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Other GA reviewers need to look over it Geardona (talk) 00:47, 25 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Geardona! I'm not quite sure I understand, who are "other GA reviewers" (and have they looked over the article?) if you're the (only) reviewer currently? WikiEditor123… 22:52, 31 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
We just need to wait for other random uninvolved people, GA reviewers are not a special class of editor. (Maybe review other articles to reduce the backlog and clear the war for others to review this page.)Wikipedia:Good article nominations/Instructions#Reviewing Geardona (talk) 02:35, 1 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
