Oswald von Nell-Breuning edit

Can anyone help me with a question related to this text in the article: "The principle of subsidiarity was first developed by German theologian Oswald von Nell-Breuning.[2] His work influenced the social teaching of Pope Pius XI in Quadragesimo Anno." The question is, "How could von Nell-Breuning's work on the principle of subsidiarity, which appears to me to have been developed in the 1950s, have influenced Pope Pius XI's Quadregessimo Anno, which was written in 1931?" If this is an error, I'd like to correct it, but I am not familiar enough with German theologian Oswald von Nell-Breunign. Thank you, Majrjejm (talk) 20:16, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

The article Oswald von Nell-Breuning says that he helped draft QA. Why do you think it was develeoped in the 1950s? --Red King (talk) 18:12, 19 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
The article about Nell-Bruening says that he wasn't allowed to publish for many years, which might explain the gap.--Red King (talk) 18:15, 19 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
