"Submittals are required primarily for the architect and engineer to verify that the correct products and quantities will be installed on the project."[1] Typically the architect does NOT review quantities. Stamps on returned submittals generally exclude responsibility for quantities and dimensions (for compliance with the contract documents). There is clear case law on this as well.
