Use in classification edit
In classification a string grammar is used for encoding some property as a continuous string. For example is a DNA sequence a string grammar. In the CTC cost for speech recognition, the CTC stands for Connectionist Temporal Classification, such a continuous string is the intermediary output from a neural net taking a spectral analysis (chepstrum) as input. Next step is to compress this string of chars into real words. Jeblad (talk) 20:54, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
