I have corrected two existing major errors - titling the commander responsible for the fortifications as Duke of Cumberland (not Westmorland), that being Prince William (George II's son), and the winter period as 1745/46 (not 1745/49!)Cloptonson (talk) 19:47, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Who's Thacker? clarification needed

Under the History section the account of Wulfad and Rufin's burial is parenthetically (described as 'historically valueless' by Thacker 1985: 6). It would be helpful if the author and publication was mentioned more fully but I notice this article lacks a bibliography and nothing to identify Thacker appears among the citations.Cloptonson (talk) 08:16, 4 September 2021 (UTC)

Blyth(e) Bridge.

The blyth bridge mentioned links to a place in the Scottish Borders. Is it not more likely that it refers to Blythe Bridge, 5 or so miles north of stone. 185.69.145.23 (talk) 21:13, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
