In this article, stilted speech is described as "describing things in an exaggerated way". So this article puts stilted speech into the range of narcissism and megalomania. In the German Wikipedia, stilted speech is described as a kind of manierism or stereotypy, characterized by an excessive use of complicated phrases and highbrow words. Now both definitions are very distinct from each other - one naming it as a symptom of megalomania, the other one as a verbal stereotypy. Which definition is the right one? Or is the word "stilted speech" used to describe many different kinds of speaking that one could somehow compare with "walking on stilts"? --79.243.255.236 (talk) 14:11, 29 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
