Right off the bat, there are three cn tags in the guitars section. 웃OO 01:15, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Nice of you to take on this assessment. I just re-did those cite requests and added a new blockquote which looked useful. Looking forward to your next comments and assessments. ErnestKrause (talk) 01:53, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • "Big Jim secured a job as an asbestos worker, an occupation that involved rigorous manual effort." that second part is unnecessary.
  • What makes findagrave.com in ref 4 and 7 a reliable source?
  • Switch cite to Crawford book reference and ups.com Obituary notices. ErnestKrause (talk) 15:47, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • "...and played various gigs across the South, though many of them were disastrous" disastrous feels a bit like an overstatement here.
  • Switch wording to 'unsuccessful,' instead of disastrous. ErnestKrause (talk) 15:53, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • "The performance was filmed and later released on DVD in September 2004." Citation needed.
  • Cite added. ErnestKrause (talk) 15:35, 3 February 2022 (UTC)*"that he was an essential aspect of the album's groundbreaking success." groundbreaking feels more like a matter of opinion.Reply
  • Unitallicize Allmusic in Couldn't Stand the Weather and in Further reading. Also, in the refs for Allmusic. label it as publisher=Allmusic instead of work=Allmusic.
  • Changes italic in all instances. Both cites in Further reading changed to 'publisher.' ErnestKrause (talk) 15:58, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • " which made Vaughan extremely excited and nervous as he did not calm down until halfway through the third song" again, extremely feels like an overstatement.
  • Change to 'overexcited and nervous' to avoid exaggeration. ErnestKrause (talk) 16:03, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Almost the entire death section is uncited and is the most glaring issue thus far.
  • This section is only a brief summary for the Main article that has over a dozen cites for this. Adding 3 cites from Main article for completeness. ErnestKrause (talk) 16:16, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Ref 188 has no page number, though for me this is a minor issue.
  • Mike McCready has a double link.
  • "In 1994 the city of Austin, Texas, erected the Stevie Ray Vaughan Memorial on the hiking trail beside Lady Bird Lake." citation needed.
  • What makes Songfacts a reliable source?
  • For ref 184, provide the name of the TV show he was in and put YouTube in via=YouTube.
  • Ref 192, 193 and 194 and 228 don't have properly formatted links.
  • ref 217, Change to and link The Grammys.

Biographies aren't really my specialty for editing, so if you are to take it to FA, I reccommend giving it a peer review from others probably more proficient at it than me. I do feel like I've learned a thing or two from reading this article! Once these issues are resolved I'll gladly pass it. 웃OO 05:10, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Should be up to date. Ready for next set of edit comments when available. ErnestKrause (talk) 16:55, 3 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'm just curious why you format the links for refs 71 and 231 like so: [1]OO 01:15, 4 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
They should all be in cite web format. All of them should be formatted at this time. Ready for next set of edit comments when available. ErnestKrause (talk) 15:36, 4 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

That's all I have really! I'm passing this now. 웃OO 00:12, 5 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
