The correct English language name for this city on the oder river. edit

The correct English for the city of Stettin in Poland is as written -S-t-e-t-t-i-n- and not the Polish slavic language version which is spelt as Szczecin which for some probably political reason is being used for English, even though it is not phonetic at all to the English speaking tongue. Stettin has for several centuries been the English language name for this city on the Oder river and it is only since 1948 that the slavic language version has been put into use since Poland annexed the city from Germany. Most native English speaking people of today of course still refer to the city by its traditional English name of Stettin, which for some strange appears to be still ignored by Wikipedia.
