Someone in 2008 completely deleted this page and redirected to discriminant analysis. I have created a Statistical_discrimination_(economics) page restoring part of the old content but can please some statistician double check that it is appropriate to redirect to the statistics page from here? Statistical discrimination is a well established phrase and concept in economcs. Not sure the same is true for statistics.

This article needs to be carefully reviewed concerning correct language. Also, the original Heckman example is about high jumpers, not basketball players. Chevalier de la charrette 15:07, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

It is very unclear to me what point is trying to be made with the basketball jumper example.
