Nomination for deletion edit

This entry was given a nomination for deletion (originally a speedy deletion nomination) by an unregistered user whose only contribution was that nomination. The film was screened at a variety of major film festivals and has been released nationally on DVD. It stars a number of high profile individuals, the least of which is internationally known drag performer RuPaul. The nomination for deletion was spurious and, frankly, stupid. The very content of the article itself lends credence to the notability of the film. TheGoonSquad 19:02, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

That's funny, because the article itself says it was not distributed. Was it sold on DVD out of shopping carts nationally? Now what would RuPaul Andre Charles think about being described as "the least of" a "high profile" group of whores, prostitutes, pornographers and dope users? The film was screened at queer film festivals, not beyond that. If info to the contrary can be found, list it and source it, and do source the rest of the article, while you're at it. This film may be known among queer circles, but beyond that it is not notable, and the article only rehashes its content and gives some ancillary info. Ho-hum (no pun intended). Please bear in mind that there's a greater world outside of queerdom. --72.76.90.236 19:52, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Your description of the cast of the film as "whores, prostitutes, pornographers and dope users" shows you are NOT approaching the topic from a neutral point of view. The DVD for the film is available EVERYWHERE, and a simple search on your part would have shown you that. Here's the entry on amazon:

If you'd like to specify which statements you wish to have sourced, I'll get right on top of that, but you need to adjust your tone ASAP as I'm not going to be bullied. TheGoonSquad 05:46, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
