Talk:Stark's Park

I don't understand the following sentence in this article:

The L-shaped main stand that houses the players dressing
facilites and the supporters lounge was built when Raith
sold Alex James to Preston North End F.C. in 1923. They
didn't pay it off until 1946.

They didn't pay what off?

And what is the relevance to the sale of Alex James; it seems to have nothing to do with building the main stand other than it coincidentally happened when a player was sold. Did the proceeds pay some/all of the costs of building the stand?

I agree: does this mean Preston took 23 years to pay for Alex James, or Raith took 23 years to pay for the stand? Fedgin 14:01, 6 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
The latter interpretation is the only sensible one (use of "it" not "him"), but I agree that it's unclear what the relevance of the sale of Alex James is to the building of the stand. DWaterson 12:15, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
