I am keen to verify the detail about the village of Stair that states that Stair House was built in 1450. Can anyone point me in the direction of the source material or reference? I am aware of William de Dalrymple acquiring the lands through marriage to Agnes Kennedy. It is the date that the house was built that interests me.
