Just as this Gothic addition with its Venetian tracery windows was inappropriate, so too was Scott's restoration
It's not our place to rule on the "appropriateness" of neo-Gothic architecture. If (say) Pevsner said it was inappropriate, we can quote him saying it, but we can't say it ourselves or it's original research. Marnanel (talk) 15:35, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
