Image placement edit

I think the present placement of most of the images is unsatisfactory because, at least in my version of the display, the lead is reduced to a column about two or three words wide. The manual of style for images says "However, avoid sandwiching text between two images that face each other, or between an image and infobox, navigation template, or similar." On the version I edited this was avoided and the images on the right below the infobox were slightly less than the length of the rest of the article and the lead was displayed normally.--Johnsoniensis (talk) 13:23, 11 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hmm I wonder what you are viewing it on? My display gives me at least 27 words between the images. I suppose as a compromise we could add a gallery and move trhe images to that? Theroadislong (talk) 13:40, 11 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
I only have a basic pc but it has a screen 16" wide. I think I was making the narrowness worse since I use a 125% zoom level when editing. I would still advocate a format without channelling of the lead. I see you have already done a version with a gallery which I would now prefer to one of the other versions; the images were taking up a large proportion of the space when they accompanied the text.--Johnsoniensis (talk) 14:27, 11 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
