Should this article be kept at its current title (St. James' Church) or should it be moved to St. James's Church? The article Apostrophe states that the majority of style guides give preferences to the form with this additional s. --Eleassarmy talk 21:17, 30 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
I agree it should be st James's. "St James'" is not incorrect, but no EN native speaker would naturally say it. Compare also St James's Park, St James's Palace, St James's Piccadilly etc. The change to St James' was made in the interests of consistency, but standard English would point to St James's.Tdls (talk) 16:17, 2 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
