slang for pound? edit

Squid (Gathering of SF fans in a pub) edit
Squid is a gathering of SF (Science Fiction or Speculative Fiction) in a pub. It is not a convention, as it is a smaller, less formal format.
When one is telling friends what one is doing in the future, one says "I am going to squid" or "I will be squidding". Sailor nickname edit
IDK how it is in other countries, but in the U. S., Squid is also a term used to refer to Sailors in the U. S. Navy, often times meant as a derogatory term, although some of us Squids wear that title with pride. 32.212.102.239 (talk) 05:57, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
