In response to speedy deletion about band:
The reason I think Spontaneous Combustion (BlueRock) is notable is that they are still receiving airplay (especially on NPR stations), they had a career spanning 1986 to about 2004 releasing 5 albums, which makes them at least as notable as the Spontaneous Combustion (band) of the 1970s. Avoiding confusion of names by listing both bands might be important to people seeking info about either band.
Spontaneous Combustion is still highly thought of in the bluegrass festival circuit and the members still make music as individual artists. It is not as tho' I posted an article on my brother's or my coworker's garage bands. :) (Which is why I suspect there is speedy delete band template, ja?) reasons to remove deletion flag jan 2012 edit
One, at bare minimum this group name is sometimes confused with a UK group by the same name Spontaneous Combustion (band) so if one is retained, the other ought be retained for disambiguation. Two, the Spontaneous Combustion (band) has been flagged since Dec 2010 as unreferenced, which makes selection of Spontaneous Combustion (bluerock band) for deletion puzzling, especially since the edit 15 Sep 2009 by Cunard with comment (removed speedy, the sources added by Malcolmxl5 prove that this band passes WP:BAND). Three, rejection of a festival advertisement for history of dates of performances? Does that mean I could not cite a Fillmore Auditorium advert for the date of the 11 May 1968 H.P. Lovecraft performance, for instance? Fourth, if Wikipedia starts rejecting all references that are not on-line and free, sources that were published in hard copy and/or complete on-line before archived behind a paywall are not valid sources? We will have a shrinking pool of older references. Britannica and World Book are full of references that are not on-line. --Naaman Brown (talk) 14:44, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
