General edit

Sacral splanchnic nerves innervate the inferior hypogastric plexus.

I was wondering what the sacral splanchnic nerve do, but in my Anatomy book it doesnt say anything... But do they really INNERVATE A NERVE PLEXUS????

and they carry sympathetic only fibers right? (UNSIGNED)

No, nerves don't innervate (nerve) plexuses, they contribute to them. I have changed a lot of the wording, as well as a lot of wrong stuff that was in the article (e.g. that splanchnic nerves are sympathetic only - pelvic splanchnic nerves are parasympathetic). However, what the article needs is clarification on what nerve synapses in what ganglion, and what plexus the nerve contributes to. It seems that every source says something different. I will try to make sense of some of this. Mauvila 05:24, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Inaccuracy: review this and perhaps change -- lesser splanchnic nerve end up at the aorticorenal ganglion rather than the least splanchnic nerve. The two is mixed up —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.243.17.246 (talk) 08:52, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Major updates: pelvic splanchnic nerves has been reclassified as sympathetic[1]Av01d (talk) 05:33, 20 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
