the bird is an osprey. the anchor is fouled with a navy flntlock & a barbed trident.

the anchor stock is showm incorrect and is perpendicular to the flukes.

I have a problem with one sentence on this page:

"The SEAL badge is therefore unique in the Navy in that it is one of the few badges issued in a single grade for both officers and enlisted personnel."

If it's unique then it is the only badge of this type. If there are others then it is not unique.

I suggest this sentence be modified as either:

The SEAL badge is therefore unique in the Navy in that it is the only badge issued in a single grade for both officers and enlisted personnel.

or

The SEAL badge is therefore one of the few badges in the Navy issued in a single grade for both officers and enlisted personnel.

    1. "Previously there were more than 20 ratings from which SEAL operators came."

There probably still are, unless they've changed the requirement that you need a rate to apply to BUD/S. Probably not a lot of chaplains or musicians in SEAL Teams. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.171.176.212 (talk) 23:54, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
