Compress other characters list edit

The list of characters needs to be shortened to essential and recurring characters and grouped into appropriate factions. -AngusWOOF (talk) 18:45, 11 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Or we make List of Space Dandy characters.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 21:43, 11 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Bullet lists are okay for characters. I've just gone through a detailed review of List of Rosario + Vampire characters, and they really don't want to have subsections like "Crew of the Alpha Oe" or "Gogol Empire". See also A_town_where_you_live#Characters and List of Naruto characters. -AngusWOOF (talk) 22:07, 11 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Bullet lists aren't used on these types of pages anymore. The format implemented now is now anime character lists are all formatted.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 08:20, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
There's far too many characters here, and not many are showing much significance. Its best to shorten it until more relevant characters start to make it in. Lucia Black (talk) 05:52, 22 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
The episodic nature of the TV series means that there will be a large cast of minor characters. Just make a separate character list.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 10:08, 22 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
All the characters that only appear in one episode aren't notable enough for inclusion in the article (and if one was it would be because of third party sources establishing notability). It's really ridiculous when more than 60% of the article is solely this list of unimportant characters that are never going to be mentioned again. Deleting the list. If you want, make a seperate List of Space Dandy Characters article.Flygongengar (talk) 04:23, 8 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Per MOS:TVCAST, only main and recurring characters should be listed. According to http://www.space-dandy.com/chara/ that would mean 10 characters. If they are recurring guests, they can be listed. However, MOS:ANIME#Characters says minor characters are okay as long as they don't make the article too long. So with regards to one-episode characters, I recommend only including them if they are explicitly mentioned in the summary for that episode, with bullet list definitions. In the closing credits they should have a name and not grouped under Additional Voices. And they should not include "Soldier A"-level background voices. -AngusWOOF (talk) 17:39, 8 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Continuity edit

From the article: "Throughout the series, very little continuity can be found as main protagonists and antagonists sometimes end up dying, getting turned to zombies, or getting trapped in different periods of time or dimension, yet reappear regardless in the following episode." The final episode of season two seemed to justify the existence of these so-called continuity errors, by explaining that Dandy was essentially the same person in all parallel universes. (I may be phrasing the explanation badly.) Does anybody disagree with that? If not, should that section be rewritten? —Torc. (Talk.) 05:24, 29 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Elvis Presley? edit

I think that many physical characteristics of Space Dandy (Cowlick, sideburns, style..) and the frequent allusions to Hawaii are attributable to Elvis Presley.. Also "Aloha Oe" was recorded by Presley and He made many movies on the Paradise Islands.. so, can we say that in the definition of the character there are clear references to the King of Rock and Roll? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.253.178.177 (talk) 17:52, 4 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Manga Adaptation edit

The article states that it is first an anime, that got a manga adaptation. But the manga came a year before the anime, so surely the anime is the adaptation? 81.104.117.105 (talk) 23:57, 5 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
