Appropriate external links

Somebody -I'm guessing and administrator- has put upo a sign to prohibit the formation of more external links emanating from the South Padre Island, Texas article.

I suggest that several links be formed in order to further complete this article. Most of them are official representatives of the city (commerce, tourism, etc.)

I would say the first three would be appropriate external links for this article. The last three would be inappropriate according to WP:EL. Postoak 05:16, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

My opinion is the same as Postoak's on this one. Also please note that the question is also posted to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Texas#South Padre Island... Can I put up Links.3F so hopefully we will get a few more opinions. Johntex\^talk 06:51, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

A small section about the causeway and its predecessors might be interesting and appropriate. I'll add that when I have a chance.

Town or City?

South Padre Island's official website calls itself the "City of South Padre Island" but the government's website calls it a town government. I'm confused which term we should be using in which cases. Ergzay (talk) 17:24, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
