Has anything been said about the Soulquarians' status since Jay Dee's death?--NPswimdude500 23:10, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Past Members edit

I would think that even the membership would state that J Dilla's membership status is permanently active. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.189.131.15 (talk) 19:44, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

This article cites Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Common as members of Native Tongues, prior to joining the Soulquarians edit

I would like to see a source cited for this information. I hadn’t heard that Common, Mos Def/Yasiin Bey and Kweli were members of the Native Tongues. The Native Tongues Wikipedia page lists these artists: Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Monie Love, Queen Latifah, Black Sheep, and Chi-Ali

Correct me if I’m wrong. Either way, I’m glad this page exists. There are so many great artists between these 2 collectives that have taught me so much! Thanks. Flobotnik (talk) 06:10, 15 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

So, the Native Tongues Wikipedia does claim that Yasiin Bey was cited as a peripheral member of the Native Tongues, in a 1996 Much Music interview with De La Soul. So that sounds legit, there aren’t any sources for listing Talib Kweli and Common as Native Tongue members, though Black Star and Common are also listed as peripheral members. Just curious if anyone has any information to confirm or deny this.
Thanks again peace. Memory Eternal J Dilla!Flobotnik (talk) 06:28, 15 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
