Suleiman PashaSoliman Pasha (al-Faransawi) – As can be seen in the disambiguation page, there is a horde of Ottoman pashas with the same name and of encyclopedic significance. A search for "Suleiman Pasha" would better find the disambiguation page first to make the reader choose his preferred Pasha rapidly. Therefore I suggest to use Suleiman Pasha title for the disambiguation page. As for this Suleiman Pasha aka Joseph Sève, replicating Takabeg's search above, Soliman Pasha look like a more popular name. Google Books results:

  • "Suleiman Pasha"+joseph seve = 37 results
  • "Soliman Pasha"+joseph seve = 46 results

However, Soliman Pasha is not exclusively used for this person, either. See, for example, this one.

Using his epithet together with his name makes sense. In Google Books:

  • "al faransawi": 288 results
  • "el faransawi": 69 results
  • "al fransawi": 74 results
  • "el fransawi": 58 results

"Al" and "el" in most of the results are written in minuscules and in most of the results there is a dash after it.

Therefore I propose this page moved to "Soliman Pasha (al-Faransawi)" and make this one the disambiguation page. Filanca (talk) 07:01, 23 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • I support the use of Suleiman Pasha as a dab page; obviously no single person is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Other common transcriptions of the name should point to the dab page too. bobrayner (talk) 12:50, 23 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
