Did any human being observe this eclipse? edit

Given the time and place, I seriously doubt any human witnesses caught a glimpse of this eclipse. (Even if a ship happened to be in the right area, the magnitude of the eclipse was much too small for casual observers to notice. Also, what are odds of clear skies? Probably not good.)

Perhaps we'll never know, but I feel that this article could be livened up if someone researched the question of possible human witnesses and added a brief statement.
