I find the following problems with this article:
- It is poorly organized. It should reflect the processes that occur from snowfall to snowmelt.
- It doesn't adequately reflect the science or supporting imagery behind the science.
- The lede doesn't reflect the contents.
- A major introductory section has inadequate references.
- The images don't support the information well. I eliminated a large number that appeared to be added for vanity's sake.

- It would appear as though the section on "Forms" was added since the last review without citation. I'm not sure on its purpose since it overlaps with both the sections on cause and types. I think anyone looking to salvage this article should focus their attention on this section. Jolly Ω Janner 22:59, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
- I have substantially rewritten this article, as I could have done with no reassessment in the offing, and feel that the result merits retaining WP:GA status. User:HopsonRoad 23:23, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
