Original research

This article appears to be largely based on an independent study written by a college student (Fullerton, Lindsay (February 1, 2006). "Barrelhouse Blues: The Cultural Integrity and Political Resistance of the Slow Drag and the Jook Institution". {{cite journal}}: Cite journal requires |journal= (help)). The paper is no longer online so the original sources cannot be verified, and access from the internet archive has been blocked by robots.txt. Outdated Link

The external link, to an article and photos by Bill Steber, no longer works. Unless someone fixes it, I proposed to delete it soon.

(I love this WP article; I came to it because on a jazz radio show today I heard an old timer mention the slow drag as something he used to hear in blues clubs in his youth 50 years ago.) Pechmerle (talk) 23:04, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
