Lead paragraph edit

The German invasion of Poland was in 1939...one of the most well-known dates in history. Was there a subsequent invasion in 1941 I'm missing? Since Germany occupied Poland and administered it I don't see how Slovakia could have participated in a 1941 invasion. The lead might be referring to the 1939 invasion, but for the assertion that Slovakia only joined the Axis in 1940. smf (talk) 19:28, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

On the First Slovak Republic page, it claims several Slovak units participated in the 1939 invasion.

1942 and 1943 edit

No events from either of these years are covered. This is problematic.

Editing edit

Some of the writing is a bit rough. I presume the author is not a native English speaker, which is fine (and likely who will have the necessary information for a page such as this), but some copy editing would help. Perhaps this can be done at the same time as the proposed page merger. I'd undertake it, but I'm not always sure what is intended by the current language.

I have taken on doing some of the copy editing, but please correct anything factual that I get wrong. It is a little dicey trying to figure out what is being said in some of these entries.--MLKLewis (talk) 23:36, 11 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Poland was occupied edit

It is correct to describe Poland as German occupied. If unnecessary then why does article use occupied for others? Examples:

German troops soon occupied Bohemia and Moravia

Hungarian occupation of a narrow strip of the common border that had previously been Slovak

The German occupation troops resumed the forwarding of the Final Solution Jniech (talk) 20:16, 1 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

article needs significant work edit

Important topic, mostly devoid of inline references. I don't know who added in all this text, but they were extremely lazy. Where are the Reliable Sources? -HammerFilmFan 50.111.41.243 (talk) 19:48, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
