Talk:SlotRadio

We shouldn't have to go off and read about, and possibly try, Pandora to understand SlotRadio. Also, I suspect Pandora and radio work differently, there's no skip button on an FM radio. So, please explain, what happens when you insert the card. Does it always start from the beginning of the chosen playlist? Can you hit back and forward and skip songs backward and forward. Does it play the playlist in random order each time. Georget99 (talk) 20:22, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Some answers, perhaps to be integrated into the main article. When you insert the card it starts playing at the point it was at when last stopped. It preserves the play position in all of the play lists on the card. If you are in the middle of song A and remove the card and insert it into another player, it will resume at the same point in song A. You can pause, change play lists, or skip to the next song, but the back button does nothing. The songs in a particular list seem to be played in random order, and some songs are in more than one list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Georget99 (talkcontribs) 19:50, 9 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

No longer in use

edit

http://www.sandisk.com/consumer-products/slotradio currently states "SanDisk® no longer offers slotRadio™ cards as of March 31, 2012. SanDisk will continue to support existing product warranties, and previously purchased slotRadio cards will continue to function with compatible Sansa® MP3 players. If you own a slotRadio player, you can load a microSDHC card with your personal music files and listen to them on the device."

Other than maybe changing wiki's text from

"slotRadio is a music format"

to

"slotRadio was a music format"

(it still is a music format, but not for sale apparently, so couldn't decide whether to alter it or not)

and/or including a section at the end quoting the March 31, 2012 end date, not sure where to start with editing this wiki. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AntiSceptic (talkcontribs) 06:27, 23 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
