Clarification of blog links

The external links that were purported to be the School of MIT and School of BE's blogs are actually student blogs by the official academic clubs under the individual schools respectively. The links have been updated to reflect this.

Rewriting the article

Alright, I have edited the Mission & Vision section to make it sound less commercial. I notice that 95% of the article was copied verbatim from the SP website. This is not really allowed in WP, so I'm trying to rewrite most of the article.

I've also created a new section for the awards and certifications.

Another thing I am going to do is to remove all the external links within the article itself. External links go into the external links section, and should not be peppered around the article so much. =)

Trivia Section Removal + Facilities update

The Trivia section does not do much to reflect on what Singapore Polytechnic is and what it does etc., quite irrelevant actually. If we want to include alumnus, then I propose a separate section for a List of Alumni instead. I've deleted this section.

In addition, I have also edited the Facilities section to reflect recent developments. The BizIT is now called the Hilltop Library and has also been relocated to a new building.

Revert of 'linkfarm'

I have reverted a lot of edits by Singpoly (talk · contribs) because they just about tripled the size of the article, mostly with in-text external links. They linked to the webpage of apparently every single club or sporting activity connected with the poly. Even now there are many unnecessary, non-mos in-text and externally linked section headings. I may have removed some useful text, like the 'Notable alumni' that actually have their own WP pages, so I will come back to fix that, possibly tomorrow. Cleaning up of 'linkfarm'

Am trying to clean up / summarise the irrelevant info and remove the unnecessary links and improve the language to keep it more objective. Am reverting to the original edit as it's easier to edit it from there as opposed to redoing all the data. Am doing and saving it in stages in case the data gets lost. But it's made difficult when the new changes keep getting reverted almost immediately and then gets classified as vandalism or non-objective promotion. Are you referring to my comments in the section preceding this one? Are you related to 164.78.252.200 (talk · contribs) or Singpoly (talk · contribs)?. Any edit that add so many links that it triples the size of the page is just ridiculous.

Some ways to avoid getting reverted are:

• Use edit summaries
• Don't massively overlink
• Respond to editors who express concerns about edits

-This is the first response regarding this issue despite numerous warnings and requests for communication on the related editor/s talk page.

• Listen to the advice of other editors, especially if they are more experienced that you.
• Familiarise yourself with normal editing practices, ie. Wikipedia:Manual of style
