- I went through the article and added some information from the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. I removed the mention of several unlinked names (especially where they were only last names and a google search did not turn up a famous singer). I also removed some WP:peacock words. At the same time, I added many links and a few references. The article is still far too gushing. Also, the sequence of events, especially after 1950, is a little tangled. I think that the article could be improved to GA level fairly easily, but it is not there yet, and I think that a peer review would be wise before submitting it for GA. Title edit
As far as I can see, the title has been "John Sims Reeves" since its inception. But he's universally known as "Sims Reeves", and that's what he's referred to as in other articles, and throughout this article, except for the opening sentence and the title. I propose to move it to "Sims Reeves" in accordance with WP's naming policy. -- JackofOz (talk) 21:56, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
