Notability of albums edit

The consensus is to merge the studio albums Lovac na čudesa, Neće rijeka zrakom teći, and Malo magle, malo mjesečine into the band article Silente, which has been done.

Should the articles for their three studio albums - Lovac na čudesa, Neće rijeka zrakom teći, and Malo magle, malo mjesečine (already redirecting here) - be merged into this article, per WP:NALBUM? The first two were nominated for a Porin award, but haven't won it. I couldn't find any information on awards for the third album. They did appear on a Croatian national music chart. --Hmxhmx 17:57, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hmxhmx, thanks for the invitation on my talk page. I believe only Malo magle, malo mjesečine is redirecting here and the first two articles are stand alone. With album articles if there is no claim of notability per WP:NALBUM in the text or infobox I tend to redirect. If you're looking at a true merge discussion notices should be posted. Barkeep49: Yeah, I was thinking about merging the introductions (with a few modifications), which are basically just a sentence or two, and track listings into the Discography section as subsections. I added notices to the articles now. --Hmxhmx 18:40, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
You shouldn't need to go straight to a full-blown thirty-day formal RfC for this, see WP:RFCBEFORE (and indeed WP:RFCNOT). --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 19:16, 18 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
My 2 cents: WP:NALBUM considerations put aside, proliferation of stub-size articles (most of which will inevitably remain stubs) may not be the best option for the reader, and I'd opt for the redirects. A possible target is also Silente discography. GregorB (talk) 15:24, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Merge - WP:NALBUM claims that "Notability aside, a standalone article is only appropriate when there is enough material to warrant a reasonably detailed article; articles unlikely ever to grow beyond stubs should be merged into the artist's article or discography". Is there anyone who believes that these articles will ever be anything other than stubs? Don't get me wrong, if there is more material from a reputable source about the articles, it should be added and kept as separate articles, but I just don't think that's the case. That's funny, I wasn't actually aware what WP:NALBUM said that when I wrote my comment. Maybe I've subconsciously reproduced it; it may be I've been here for too long now... :-D
From experience, I can say it's difficult to expand articles on Croatian albums, and that's chiefly because the sources aren't there. Reliable info on e.g. reviews, sales figures, chart positions is difficult to find. Even the articles on eminently notable albums such as e.g. Dnevnik jedne ljubavi are hard to expand beyond stub level. GregorB (talk) 12:09, 27 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Barkeep49, GregorB, and PraiseVivec: I merged the articles. --Hmxhmx 14:09, 21 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
