Currently the article says "Former mayor Dominic Fanning was drawn, quartered, and decapitated, with his head mounted over St. John's Gate."

The sources seem to be divided over his fate. They all seem to say that he was hanged, with various different sources saying different thinks that happened to his cadaver, but they do not say he was hanged, drawn and quartered, which is what this sentence implies.

It would probably be better to say 24 persons including Dominic Fanning a former mayor and the Bishop of Limerick were not granted amnesty when the city surrendered ... Fanning was hanged ... [1], [2],[3] PBS (talk) 16:35, 3 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
