Appropriate use of art edit
Is it appropriate that the first image the reader sees of this article is an 1881 painting? It seems off to me that this modern perspective would be the leading image of the article especially given the 254 year gap between the subject of the article and the creation of the artwork? Motte painting edit
The Motte painting is wonderful but I don't know what the tall objects in the background are. A half-completed siege work? Sea wall? Boris B (talk) 21:33, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Cannibalism edit
I've read somewhere that there was cannibalism during this siege - but I don't have a reference. Albmont (talk) 21:17, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- Right wars, different city. Siege of Sancerre featured cannibalism. Albmont (talk) 21:25, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
