I find I have to move this article to a page with a slightly modified title. The primary source, Susie Gilbert's book about the ENO, renders Edwards's first name as Sîan, but I am now told - and comparison with others of the same first name confirms - that the circumflex should be on the "a", not the "i". However, as far as I can see from all newspapers, magazines, and web sites that I can find, Ms Edwards doesn't use the circumflex at all, and is just "Sian". It would be courteous to follow her own precept and practice, surely? Any thoughts on what the title of the page ought to be will be gratefully received.
