Hoax?

Their long career and loyal local following has led to several reasonably well known tribute acts on the Devon pub circit. In is believed that Show of Hands are very supportive of these acts, as they are keen to support live music in pubs. The two most notable acts are "Show of Wangs" and "Mad Merlins Magic Minstrals." Show of Wangs are actually Truro based 4 piece jazz/folk-rock combo The Jellybeats, who have been touring since the 1970s. Show of Wangs "Phil Lager and Steve Pornley" is a spoof, usually done as part of their Saturday night show. Mad Merlin's lads are a part time, mixed membership band who occasionally perform covers of Show of Hands' most popular, upbeat and positive songs. The long running joke is that because these songs don't exist, they don't actually do anything.

I nearly eliminated this a while ago. I think it might be true however it appears to relate to tribute bands & so is not of any worth in encyclopaedic terms IMO. Cheers --Herby ^{talk thyme} 13:59, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Regarding photos

I posted the photos here as mentioned, but need to find a lightened photo for the infobox, and am trying to get one from the management of the band. Definitely, they are not a Hoax! Also, they frequently play on the same bill with Fairport Convention, and I've been looking for a photo of Alun Davies, who once was Cat Stevens' guitarist, and then when Stevens returned, 30 years later as Yusuf Islam, resumed playing lead guitar with him as well as with Fairport Convention. If anyone plans to attend a function with either group and would take photos of the band members, or has any that have Alun Davies, I will KISS YOU! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 22:54, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation?

Cassettes join albums

I don't know weither i should do these myself but should the 'cassette' albums join Studio albums in the discography. I haven't done it myself because i heard one cassette album was live and then if i put them into studio albums, one would be live --77.99.231.37 (talk) 20:52, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
