Proposal re rhythm dance edit
Guys, I've been, as time allows, going through the articles I've improved in the last year, updating best scores, rule changes, and references. Last year, the ISU changed the name of the SD to the rhythm dance; we chose to keep the content the same here, which was improved before the name change, but report it both here and the RD article. I propose that starting this season (2019-2020), we move the content in the Background section here to the RD article. I also propose that the content in the Requirements section remain here. The wording would have to be changed in both articles, but I think that it would clear up confusion moving forward. Unless, of course, the ISU decides to change the name again; if so, I'll curse at my screen and we'll figure out what to do then. ;) What does everyone think? Time reduction, 2016 edit
Did 10 sec time reduction in 2016 have as a consequence reduction in average/top scores? That would be good to mention in the article next to information about 2016 time reduction. I can't find any reliable source. Setenzatsu.2 (talk) 17:19, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
Proposed merger edit
Everyone, this has been discussed already, at Talk:Rhythm dance, but I thought that we should discuss it here because a merger would mean that this article would go away. Since enough time has passed that it looks like the ISU isn't going to make another change regarding the first segment in ice dance, I think that now is a good time to merge Rhythm dance and Short dance. If there's consensus or if there's no discussion, I'll go ahead and combine the content from both articles at the Rhythm dance article.
